Dharwad Activites

1)The following Agri-enterpreneurs and Progressive farmers were felicitated during our meeting on 27-05-2022

R. G. Timmapur(Halligeri-Dharwad) : Crop diversity and water management
M. V. Patil (Guddad Hulikatti, Kalaghatagi) : Direct marketing and Agro processing
Mallikarjun Bhingi (Hanasi, Kundagol): Integrated Farming stems
M. G. Bisirotti (Hiregunjal, Kundagol) : Organic farming
Ullas Gunaga(Dharwad) : Terrace Gardening
Roopa Srihari (Hubballi) : Value addition in Agriculture

This was highly appreciated by our IAT Central Office, Bengaluru and other IAT Regional Chapters.

The batch of 40 trainees allotted with a budget of 8 lakhs. IAT, Dharwad chapter arranged 80 theory classes and 8 practical classes. The classes were arranged by experienced faculties from UAS, Dharwad, Dept. of Agriculture and other related organisations. The course was successfully completed with final examinations held on 8 th and 9 th June 2022. All the necessary procedures were followed and received the completion certificates in November 2022.

Organised closing ceremony and also one more DASEI course inauguration programme on 8 th November 2022 at DATC auditorium. Hon’ble MLA Shri. Amrut Desai, Dharwad inaugurated the function and Dr. P.L. Patil, Vice-Chancellor, UAS, Dharwad was the Chief guest. Distributed 36 certificates to all the successful trainees.

The programmes were organized in association with RSK, Dharwad by Sri Mahadev Sarashetty about soil testing, soil health , good agronomic practices, awareness about the Fellowships & subsidies to the children of agriculturists under the banner of IAT.
